ALL SHADES OF THE SEA
The stylish interior of this apartment in Moscow is built on the delicate balance of neo-classical and post-modernism. There are no straight out sayings about the sea theme, only slight hints of turquoise, which are combined with natural gamma: grey-beige shades of stone, pebbles and sand. In this context, it is advantageous to look at natural wood, in such a subtle approach to the subject - great success of the interior and its authors.
Another success was-planning: on the area of a little more than one hundred square meters, was able to create a representational of front area with a large kitchen adjoining, allocate the overall structure of apartment private room block for the son of the mistress, gave chance to organise two wardrobe zones and two bathrooms.
As an example of that, the want of having one of the toilets to be linked to the bedroom, and the authors found a way to put it that way. Although the exit from the master bedroom had to be done towards the living room-dining room, but for a small family mom and teenage son – it is a reasonable decision. Stating masters’ bedroom, dining room and kitchen are on the same axis, and it sets a nice wakening scenario: as you leave the bedroom, you can see how wide aperture for a friendly atmosphere with white elegant kitchen, almost inviting you to have breakfast there.
As for style, the basis for it, have been neoclassicism, but also had some ‘layers’ imposed on it - different historical styles in modern interpretation. For example, two bergeres next to the fireplace, reminiscent of the style of Louis XV, the frame mirrors – is the modern Interpretation Baroque dresser with a silver flower on the facade - a modern version of Art Deco on metal tables in the form of pure postmodernism. The turquoise silk carpet in the living room is – a talented design work, deliberately imitating the old, threadbare carpet almost to the base.
Work of textiles deserves a separate notice: each item, up to the tiny pillows on the couch, are not like that for nothing, they are specifically matched to the texture and shades.
